Did we ever figure out if Normal was dominant/recessive over Tuxedo body type? Might help me figure out just WHAT exactly happened... hehe.
Decided to make another attempt to fix a strain of normal bodied white tailed guppies. Got a fresh stock of tuxedos off the CD (in order to fix a strain of white tailed tuxedos). Bred two of these fish... got 5 males, mostly blue/green tailed, one grey, and one white. The surprise was, two of these fish had NORMAL type bodies?! Amazingly, one of them was the white tailed one... heh. Should go buy a lottery ticket tomorrow.
At least THAT part of animal husbandry is correct... you can try and try and TRY to get a particular strain, doing everything you can think of... and have it pop up after you've given up with a totally unrelated breeding... heh

My question is... has anyone ever had this happen before? The parents were straight off the CD, both from the German Tuxedo file... I've bred many many generations of F1 tuxedo fish, and this is the first time I've ever gotten normal bodies from it!
