Slightly confused...

Ok. I decided I wanted to see exactly how many colors/variations of colors I could find in AZ. Fools errand, but it keeps me amused. Anyways, I was getting mostly reds/oranges/yellows out of my stock and I wanted more blues. So, I crossed some Sky and Light blue tuxedos into my stock. This particular line of blues hasn't thrown anything except those two shades of blue since the second generation I worked with them (was on 15 when I started the other project) so I figured they were perfect. And they did toss alot of blues into my mix.

So... why do most of the offspring of the cross have flame bodies? The way I understood it, that should NOT have happened. Even if the female out of my mixed breed stock was a cobra or flame herself, she shouldn't throw the flame type because she can't carry cobra from what I understood (way back when, when I was researching the flame (or cobra/tux) type... whatever we're calling it).

The males are both out of pure tuxedo stock. Not even any normals, I weeded those out a LONG time ago. The female that produced the flames is a rather mixed type... showing Albino (the only thing she can show. heh). Her parents were a pure albino and an mix of albino and red tail off the CD. No possible chance she could have the cobra gene. There is a very slight chance that her mother was a tuxedo/cobra mix -- but if so, where did the albino gene come from?!

I am so TOTALLY confused. heh
