: I have had yellow, yellow with tinges of red & lime green, and yellow with a distinct grass green crescent at the demarcation between tail fin & peduncle. Also, the blue peduncles (about 3 shades). Nothing else yet, though. And NO -- no "real" purple yet. Dang it. I haven't figured out how I got the PLUM yet :-)

All the plums I've gotten have apparently been a mix of some gene carried by the red tails & the blue end tuxes. So far I haven't gotten a plum without the bright blue peduncle, nor have I been able to isolate the color. I had suspected that it's a heterozygous color, certainly it is with the peduncle color.

I finally got fishes with turquoise peduncles, by crossing a stabilized green (tux stock) with a king cobra (straight from AZ). Main colors were yellow thru light orange, and even a single plum w/ standard blue peduncle. Now I am getting confused as to where that plum originates. Maybe I should breed that one guy to some of my females out of the plums I'd been fooling with before.

It just gets more & more complicated..! LOL
