fancy red tail cross with a wild type

: I have one fancy red tail male guppy that's my favorite.  He hasn't been "good" enough for any of the fancy females that I gave him.  I have considered crossing him with a wild type female to see if he has better luck.  Does any one know what kind of results I can expect?
