Tank Temperature

Pursuant to the "no matings" thread, I would like to explore the question of tank temperature.

The default tank temp is 26.5º C. This is the temp of each newly created tank UNLESS you reset it.

When changing water, however, the default temp is 26.0º C.

Being basically lazy, I changed my tank temp to 26.0º C so that when I change water, the temperature is one LESS thing I have to pay attention to.

My question is this:
Is there any hard evidence to suggest that a lower temperature (23.9º C was mentioned, I believe) has any influence on the number of successful matings, the number of fry and/or the M/F distribution of fry?

I'm anxious to hear feedback about this one!
