: Good luck with the surgerey thing, Clarissa. Been there, done that this year, myself. No fun at all, not even the morpheine.

Hey, no joke! Thanks for the good wishes to both you and Jevan :-) I appreciate them. And you are right about the morphine -- it just leaves me feeling like I've been run over by a truck only without the pain. Just sort of heavy and thick and dull, you know? It doesn't even make me sleep. In fact, it makes me itch, which I hear is a very common effect.

What, pray tell, did you go "under the knife" for? (You can tell me in private e-mail if you like, or you can tell me to get lost for being nosy.)

Regarding the "new and exciting strains" . . . well, I have been messing with crossing albinos and red-tails (using varietal colors, not just the out-of-the-box ones). Some intriguing results but nothing firm yet. No true-breeders so far. It's going to be hard for me to grasp the mechanics of the hybrids vs. the distinct strains.

By the way, I read on the boards here that someone (I don't remember who) was having trouble getting their albinos to mate with the other types of guppies. So far, I have not encountered this trouble. They breed just FINE with the others.

Well, adios for now!
Clarissa
