I need Help!!! Please, this is very, very frustrating

All right, as far as i've read, most, if not about half, of mated females grow pregant within 1 or 2 days.
So far I've had 4 pairs of guppys mate. It's been 4 days and NONE of the females are pregnant. 2 pairs are in small tanks, just the male and the female in each. The other two pairs are in a large (300 liter) guppy tank, 4 males and 6 females.

If there is any likely explanation i'd love to hear it.
