Here's my new theory I'm testing for German Tuxedos:
1) There are several areas of fish fins that are genetically encoded for color.
2) Each of these fin areas hold at least three color genes.
3) To develop a *pure* color strain (white in my case) one needs to breed *each* of the several color genes for *each* fin area down to the desired color.
4) As such, a two by two Punnet square will not work.
5) It may take 10, 20, even 30 or more generations to achive this.
I know this is not the definitive answer to Aquazone Guppy genetics but it's the theory I'm working with at this point.
