I was suggesting that if you are at the generation prior to the one you suspect will throw spotted males you could breed one clear male with all of his sisters (or as many as it takes to find one that will not throw spotted young) to test your theory. Hopefully, at least one sister will not throw spotted male sons. One sister that throws clear young would be the next "mom" and the others discarded. You might have to "test sisters" for six to eight generations to eliminate this recessive trait.
