Same type of challenge only in reverse. I am ::trying:: to fix small spots (I call grass) in mosaic and cobra strains. For me "grass" is recessive to "tiger" and "clear" and most of the time is accompanied with that darn white rectangle in the dorsal. I have to search for the right sister in every generation to keep the phenotype from dissapearing. I often file a strain away labeled "heterozygous for grass" knowing that the phenotype will not breed true but will throw some "grass" males. I find fixing "tiger", "variegated" and "clear" can be done in about 12-15 generations, but "grass" is elusive. I think Kat's site mentions that spotting in tuxedoes is to be expected.
