Weekly News:
The Champion's Trophy is finished and on display in The Champion's Hall. This year it belongs to Deep Impact Racing. Will it be yours next year?

The season is over. I would like to take this time to congratulate our season champion - Deep Impact Racing. Congratulations on a job well done!

Congratulations also go to Ford Racers for setting the season record with 12 wins!

I would also like to thank every competitor for your support through this season. Next year promises to be even better. I've got some ideas (good, I think) for improvements in both the areas of competition and site content. I look forward to next year and hope that all of you will be back for a second round.

You can click here for a wrapup of the final standings. Where ties occurred, the teams have been listed in alphabetical order. All the competitors who participated at some point this year are listed.

Sometimes it's interesting to take a step back to see how things shook out. So, here are some stats.
  • The difference between finishing 1st and 5th was less than 5 points per finish.
  • The difference between finishing 5th and 10th was about 9 points per finish.
  • 4 teams had as many or more wins than the league winner (Deep Impact Racing with 10 wins). They were Ford Racers(9th) with 12 wins, 99Rules Racing(2nd) with 11 wins, and Read Autosports(5th) and JerseyGirl Racing(8th) with 10 wins.
Conclusion? Winning isn't the only thing. Solid finishes week in and week out are what really count.


Welcome to the W.C. Challenge. W.C. Challenge will soon be accepting new teams for the 2000 season. This free NASCAR Winston Cup fantasy league is open to anyone who wants to have a little fun and friendly competition with other NASCAR fans. If you expect to pay money or win money, you've come to the wrong place. This is a free league where the only thing you can expect to win is the praise and admiration of your competitors! Oh, there is the small bonus of having your name on our virtual Series Championship Trophy, which will go proudly on display at the end of the season.

Attention AOL users:

For reasons that have yet to be explained, email with AOL addresses (i.e. something@aol.com) is not being delivered. I apologize for this, but I haven't been able to get a satisfactory answer on what is wrong or how to fix it. My suggestion to you would be to email enable the web pages so that you will at least know when things get updated. Hopefully this problem can be corrected in the future.

The team pages are email enabled! You can receive an email message whenever the page changes. Click on the button at the bottom of any email enabled page and follow the instructions to activate this feature.
